Public engagement

Public engagement is central to the mission of the OASIS Hub and to our vision of improving healthcare engineering for everyone.

We see engagement as a two-way exchange. It creates opportunities for researchers, industry partners, patients and the wider public to share knowledge, perspectives and experience. Through these interactions, everyone involved can learn from one another and help shape the direction of our work.

Our approach to public engagement aims to:

• Develop the skills of our researchers while building meaningful relationships with the communities we serve

• Embed engagement within research culture, making it a natural part of how we design and deliver projects

• Work collaboratively with partners, publics and stakeholders, including industry, healthcare professionals and community groups

• Strengthen and inform our research, ensuring it is relevant, responsible and fit for real-world healthcare challenges

By bringing diverse voices into the conversation, we help ensure that the technologies and solutions we develop respond to genuine needs and deliver meaningful impact.
